The Business

Nymph Naturals is run by Karla O’Donovan from her home by the sea in County Wicklow. All Nymph Naturals products are handmade in Wicklow using sustainable packaging and predominantly natural Irish ingredients.

Karla personally grows beautiful lavender, roses, and rosemary, which she dries and grinds into fine powders to use in her products. This ensures not only a natural fragrance but also the beneficial properties of each plant.

She incorporates Connemara Atlantic seaweed and Irish Atlantic sea salt into her bath salts for a fragrant, natural Irish bathing experience.

Karla also keeps a colony of native black Irish honey bees in County Wicklow. These bees pollinate the very plants used in her products and provide beeswax, propolis, and delicious honey — all rich in nature’s goodness.

Our Story

Hello, I’m Karla O’Donovan.

I’m originally from beautiful County Waterford, but now live in Co. Wicklow, the Garden of Ireland. I grow many of the ingredients I use, split between my gardens in both counties. At the moment, I have a particularly fantastic batch of fragrant lavender growing in Waterford that I harvest regularly — it’s a key ingredient in many of my products.

I have always had sensitive skin, and in search of a gentler alternative, I began experimenting in my kitchen. I started creating natural products using the sustainable ingredients our stunning country provides — like Irish seaweed from Connemara and Atlantic sea salt from the west coast.

Using my own natural creations — soaps, moisturisers, bath salts, and candles — has significantly improved both my skin and mental wellbeing.

As I explored the craft, I became captivated by the nourishing power of plants, especially those grown locally in our beautiful countryside. Keeping my own colony of Irish honey bees allows my plants to thrive through pollination. The bees provide honey, beeswax, and propolis — ingredients that form the heart of many of my natural, sustainable remedies.

What began as a personal solution has since blossomed into a passion — and then into a business.

Today, Nymph Naturals offers a range of handmade products, including:

• Candles

Each is crafted in small batches using plant-based, sustainable ingredients, with love and care here in County Wicklow.
